For awareness | DfE portal registration
The DfE will be sending an email to schools from the 10th May onwards to update them on changes they have made to their registration portal in preparation for registering new ECTs for a September 2022 start.
An email will be sent directly to Induction Tutors for schools that have had ECTs at their school this year based on the email address they currently have for the Induction Tutor in the DfE portal, ‘Manage Early Career Teachers’. If you believe that this may been incorrect, please login to make the change and update with urgency.
With the portal and registration process changing, Northamptonshire Teaching School Hub recommend schools to wait to register their ECTs until after they have received further information via the Employing an ECT webinar on 17th May 2022 for Headteachers and Induction Tutors to help understand what the registration and induction process will look like for next year.
- All schools should have received the DfE email by the week before May half term.
- Further information on the registration process will be shared once schools have received the DfE communication. This will include registering for the ECF and AB services.
For schools that have not had an ECT this year, the email will be sent to the ‘Get Information About Schools’ (GIAS) contact email address for the school, we advise schools in this situation to be on the lookout for the email in case it goes to an office@... email address.
Please do contact the ECF/AB team with any questions of support by emailing email@example.com or call the office on 01536 397013.
